John's Deer

As those of you know who’ve been following the journal, this is Lucky, a beautiful buck who’s eluded us for a couple of years.  John was fortunate to make a great stalk this morning and harvest this super-tall buck with unique horn configuration.  Congratulations, John, on your first Colorado muley!  You’ll likely not harvest one like this ever again.  Here on the blog in the next couple of days we’ll tell the story behind Lucky’s name, his narrow escapes from a mountain lion and one bowhunter before today, and add his photo history.
