Hunter’s Journal

Jared double lunged this buck early this morning.  He could hear the buck ripping up a tree in the thicket and got on the rattle horns.  Good progress but it wasn’t until the bleat can sounded the buck came and stood on the X.  Jared made a perfect shot and the second  buck of the KS season was down.  Way to go Jared on your first pope and young whitetail.  I’ll now be without good internet at the lodge unless we get it hooked up in the near future so updates may be scarce from here.  Rob has Colorado covered so he will let us know how that shakes down.  I also got good feed back from a Wyoming hunter shot a typical Blackhills 8 pt. I posted a pic in the trophy gallery.  The bucks are fired up and lots of sightings everyday.
